There are numerous types of coding languages, but they are divided into three main categories: low-level languages, high-level languages, and scripting languages. High-level languages, such as Java and Python, are easier to code and read and have a high level of abstraction. Scripting languages like JavaScript are interpreted languages and are simpler to code, allowing faster code creation.
