What are the basic components of a computer?

The basic components of a computer can be categorized into five main parts: the central processing unit (CPU), memory, storage devices, input devices, and output devices. The CPU is the brain of the computer, performing calculations and executing instructions. Memory, commonly known as RAM, provides temporary storage for data and instructions that the CPU needs to access quickly. Storage devices, such as hard drives or solid-state drives, are used to permanently store data and programs. Input devices, such as keyboards and mice, allow users to enter data or commands into the computer. Lastly, output devices, like monitors or printers, display or produce the results of the computer's processing. Together, these components of a computer work in synchronization to perform various tasks and functions.
