What is a corporate PBX system?

A corporate PBX system, or Private Branch Exchange, is a phone system for businesses that allows for phone communication within an organization as well as outside of it. It's a centralized system that directs phone calls to different extensions within the company and also allows for features like voicemail, call forwarding, and conference calling. This system helps businesses save money by reducing the number of individual phone lines needed, and it also improves communication efficiency. Corporate PBX systems can be hosted on-site or in the cloud, and can be operated by an in-house team or managed by a third-party provider.
