What is electronicore?

Electronicore, or "synthcore," is a subgenre of metal that incorporates electronic music elements such as synthesizers, techno beats, and samples into traditional metalcore and post-hardcore styles. The genre emerged in the mid-2000s and gained popularity with bands such as Enter Shikari, Attack Attack!, and I See Stars. The use of these electronic elements adds a unique dimension to the heavy sound of metalcore, and has led to the creation of a whole new subculture within the metal scene.
