What is the TARDIS?

The TARDIS, short for Time and Relative Dimension in Space, is a fictional time machine and spacecraft in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It was created by the Time Lords, an ancient alien race that the Doctor belongs to, and is capable of travelling through time and space to any destination in the universe. The exterior of the TARDIS is disguised as a blue British police box, while its interior is infinitely larger than it appears on the outside, featuring multiple rooms, corridors and even gardens. The TARDIS is not only the Doctor's mode of transportation, but also serves as a safe and familiar space for the Doctor and their companions during their adventures.
