The Mandela effect is the phenomenon where a large group of people believe something to be true, despite it actually being false. One classic example is the phrase from the children's book series, The Berenstain Bears. Many people remember it as "Berenstein", with an "e" instead of an "a". Another example is the famous line from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, where Darth Vader supposedly says "Luke, I am your father", when in fact he says "No, I am your father". These examples and many others have sparked a lot of discussion and theories about how and why the Mandela effect happens.
