What is atmospheric pressure?
Atmospheric pressure refers to the force exerted by the weight of the Earth's atmosphere on any given point on its surface. It is caused by the gravitational pull of the Earth, which pulls air molecules towards the planet's center. As a result, the weight of all the air molecules above a specific area creates a pressure that is experienced as atmospheric pressure.
