The anterior triangle of the neck is an anatomical region located on the frontal aspect of the neck and is bounded by the midline of the neck, the inferior border of the mandible, and the anterior border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle. There are several muscles that are present in the anterior triangle, including the geniohyoid, mylohyoid, digastric, sternohyoid, sternothyroid, thyrohyoid, and omohyoid muscles. These muscles play vital roles in swallowing, speech, and stabilizing the hyoid bone during neck movements.
