Fragile narcissism is a personality trait that describes individuals who are overly dependent on external sources for validation and who are hypersensitive to criticism. These individuals have a deep sense of entitlement and grandiosity, but are also easily threatened by feelings of rejection or failure. They require constant admiration and attention from others to maintain their fragile self-esteem, and will often react negatively when their expectations are not met.
