Who are the ancestors of Noah?

According to biblical tradition, Noah was a descendant of the righteous man named Seth, the third son of Adam and Eve. Seth's lineage continued through his son Enosh, then to Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared, Methuselah, and finally to Noah. Noah's parents were Lamech and his wife, who named their son Noah, saying, "This one will bring us relief from our work and from the toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed" (Genesis 5:29). Thus, the ancestors of Noah trace back to Adam and Eve through the godly line of Seth.
