Where is the Line of Actual Control (LAC) located?

The Line of Actual Control (LAC) is a loosely demarcated border between India and China. It spans approximately 4,057 kilometers (2,520 miles) across the Himalayan region. The LAC passes through three sectors: the Western Sector, which runs through Ladakh; the Middle Sector, which covers Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh; and the Eastern Sector, which encompasses Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. The LAC is not a formally agreed-upon border but rather a perception-based line that separates the two countries' territories. The region is known for its rugged and mountainous terrain, making the demarcation and border management challenging. The LAC has been a contentious issue between India and China, with occasional border disputes and skirmishes.
