What is FOMO?

FOMO, or Fear Of Missing Out, is a psychological phenomenon that has become increasingly prevalent in modern society, driven by the constant availability of information and the pressure to constantly stay connected through social media. It describes the feeling of anxiety or unease that arises from the belief that others are having more fun, experiences, or success than oneself, leading individuals to constantly strive to be a part of anything and everything to avoid being left out. FOMO can have negative effects on mental health, financial well-being, and relationships if left unchecked.
