What are Nanobodies?

Nanobodies are single-domain antibodies that are derived from the immune systems of camelids, such as llamas and camels. These small, robust and highly stable proteins bind to specific target molecules with high affinity and specificity, making them ideal for use in research, diagnostics, imaging and therapeutics. Because of their small size and stability, nanobodies can penetrate deep into tissues and fluids, making them attractive tools for drug delivery and imaging applications. They also have potential as therapeutic agents for a wide range of diseases including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
