What is a triple agent?

A triple agent refers to an individual who works as a spy or intelligence operative for one intelligence agency, while pretending to be loyal to another. Unlike a double agent who plays both sides, a triple agent deceives two intelligence organizations simultaneously by infiltrating a second organization while officially working for a third. This makes them a highly covert and secretive operative, tasked with extracting information from the second organization and feeding it back to their original agency. Triple agents are regarded as extremely dangerous and unpredictable, as their true loyalty is often shrouded in ambiguity and they possess the ability to manipulate information flow between multiple agencies, resulting in significant intelligence advantages.
