What is section 299 of IPC?

Section 299 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) deals with the offense of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. It defines the act of causing death of any person by doing an act with the intention of causing death or with knowledge that the act is likely to cause death, but without the intention of causing death.
